Why Haven't You Posted? Poor Deadtaco.
I need to post so badly it makes me sad. Or so says Devin's Blog. Please click on the link above to get the Great Computer Whiz to post something. His site is sad and lonely. Come on people's. Bombard him with requests for new posts.
Just more riding around Carson City
Commuted home from work yesterday and decided to buzz around the town for a bit before heading home. Ended up visiting the railroad museum and then climbed a fire road to get some views. Very warm day (well, almost 70) so it was worth riding as much as possible. Spring is finally beginning to show here a little bit.
New House
Well, after some problems on our previous home (see previous posts) the sales staff did help us get into a new model. This one is two story and has some pretty nice features overall. It's just getting started so the only pics I have are the foundation. I decided to go ahead and show the surrounding streets also. All the homes to the north, east, and west are one story for three to four lots so our view won't be too badly affected. There might be a two story across the street to the south but none of our upper story windows will really face that direction. Anyway, here are the pics.

<$Looking for Relief$>
<$New Home Decision$>
Well, we finally decided what we are going to do on the house. With a lot of help from the cool sales staff at Lennar we have decided to upgrade to a slightly larger (150sf or something close) two story home with a much larger lot (25% larger at 8000sf). It's on a corner and will have light entering the home on three sides. We didn't like the kitchen as much but the master bath is much larger and the master bedroom is larger also. Plus, we aren't sandwiched in as much as the homes around us are all one story for four lots in all directions and we now have a very large side yard on one side. I think we'll be much happier now. I'll start picture posts starting this Wednesday when I meet with the sales staff to sign off on all the upgrades.

Stealin' Rock
Well, sort of anyway. Debra and I needed some landscaping rock to finish off the yard. We knew were the dump was for cinder rock that the local quarry company doesn't want. Drove the truck up and loaded her up. Seriously heavy load and the little Nissan strained to get back down through the rough dirt road. Oh well, mission accomplished and the trail in the front yard looks great.
Made it Back Alive from B'more
Well, I managed to survive Baltimore with little more than a lack of sleep and blisters from walking around too much. Was there on business to learn about programs for children and people with disabilities. The conference was eight hours each day but I had the mornings and afternoons to explore the area. Since I couldn't sleep I would be up and exploring the town by six in the morning and then again in the afternoons from around 5 to seven before I went to find dinner. The inner harbor is beautiful and from what I hear does anything but provide a good example of what the rest of the city is like. But, I enjoyed the place anyway. Enjoy the pics!

Just more commuting pics
Not much to report this week. Just wanted to post a few pics of this mornings commute in on my bike. Debra still hasn't decided what to do with the house situation. I friend of ours who has been working with homebuilders for years said for us to sneak in when no one is around and spray all the exposed wood bases with a mixture of bleach and water to help limit the amount of mold possibilities. I'm off to Baltimore for the majority of the week so I most likely won't be posting too many pics or anything, but oh well. Sure hope it isn't raining when I get there.
Anyway, the pics are of a new route I tried that goes down a small multiuse trail (MUT) past the Nat'l guard buildings, the prisons, a newly formed swamp where they are putting the new freeway in, and then ends with my office before work got going. Yep, another day in paradise. . .at least it's not snowing or raining here today.
