First major snowfall of the season and in some time. About three feet in the high country and four or five inches at the house. I threw Tommy Cat out into the snow for a few minutes to play around in the snow but he wasn't amused. Also headed up to Mt. Rose to go snowshoeing with friends. We got targeted by the local feathery wildlife. The little birds are pretty hungry up there this time of year. Of course we had to stop for liquid refreshment afterward.
My father and I were running around in the Sweetwater Mountains looking for minerals. Got some great shots of the mountains and the surrounding countryside. It was a beautiful day in the high 50's with fresh snow on the distant peaks. A great day to be running around. We brought Tia and Tilly dogs along also.
Debra took these shots of our hike up to Hobart Reservoir near Little Valley above Reno and Carson City. We missed the leaves but otherwise it was a great hike. The dogs loved the water as usual.
