Taste of the Deathride

We rode 65 miles and did 7,300' of climbing on Sunday. The ride started in Markleeville and climbed up to the top of Monitor Pass on Highway 89 before dropping back down to tackle Highway 4's Ebbetts Pass. We climbed up to the top of Ebbetts and then dropped down to Hermit's Valley before climbing back up and returning to Markleeville. It was hot and for some reason was one of the harder rides for me in some time. Probably a mixture of heat and the four days I took off last week while I was in Pittsburgh.
